Tom’s Place is a recently refurbished, beautifully decorated Bungalow, offering a spacious living/dining area where friends and family can enjoy a cosy night in around the dining table or just sitting relaxing in front of the lovely wood burning stove.

The living room/dining room leads directly into a good-sized kitchen with everything you need to prepare a snack or cook up a meal.

Outside on the secluded south facing patio (weather dependant) you can relax with a glass of your chosen tipple.

Whilst in a quiet residential area Tom’s Place is only a short walk from the bustling harbour, niche shops and galleries, including a new gallery of national significance which hosts exhibitions throughout the year.

Take a pleasant stroll around this lovely town, visit Broughton House and gardens once the home of E. A. Hornel. Kirkcudbright is known as, ‘the artist’ town’, having hosted a generation of painters, craft makers and artisans, a culture still thriving today. As a more recent addition the Dark Sky Planetarium, is a must for children and adults, or try the Dark Art Gin Distillery next door.

The town attracts many visitors throughout the year drawn by the many annual events and visitor attractions, including MacLellan’s Castle and the harbour.

From the town there are many walks available, from the scenic coastal paths to forest trails, with sailing, swimming, riding, fishing and golf for the more adventurous.

Nearest beach (The Doon|) is only a short drive away with ample parking and public toilet.

Further afield there are many beautiful gardens to visit, including the National Trust’s Threave Gardens and Threave Castle, Galloway Forest Park and the 7stanes Glentool and Kirroughtree Mountain Bike Trails.

Terms

To ensure booking is secure we require a £50.00 non refundable deposit at the time of booking. The balance to be paid by Cheque or bank transfer 4 weeks prior to arrival.

Smoking is not allowed inside the premises, (Heat/smoke alarms have been installed for your safety)

The external patio area is there for your pleasure and comfort, you are also welcome to use the upper part of the garden, but please be aware of the steps and the undulating land, we care about your safety.

We would like to welcome pets, however, please understand that we must also consider our other guests, dogs may be permitted by prior arrangements please call us to discuss your needs.
